Nature Matters: Salmon Bank; The Fascinating Story of a Place We Love, Wednesday, July 8 at 7 pm

From its 100-million-year-old geological arrival in the Pacific Northwest to today, Salmon Bank has supported many and diverse populations including indigenous peoples, the Hudson Bay Company, American fisheries, salmon, and orcas.  Hear how this beautiful four-mile stretch of water and shoreline has been used, and abused, and how it serves as an enduring reminder of the need to protect places and their inhabitants.  Presented by Ranger Jeff and co-sponsored by the National Park Service.
