The Friends of the San Juan Island Library is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization, comprised of incredible volunteers who support, advocate, and raise funds to help make our island Library the best it
can be!

Volunteer with the Friends!

Friends of the Library Book Handler

The Friends of The San Juan Island Library is seeking an active and dedicated volunteer to join the organization. This is a part-time hourly volunteer position of not more than 6 hours per week, three days a week, focused on receiving, sorting, and dispositioning used books to assist the Friends of the Library mission of supporting the San Juan Island Library by making a difference through donations and book recycling.  There are no salary, retirement, health, or other regular employment benefits.

Book Donations

The Friends of the Library are currently accepting book donations at the Book Palace at the rear of our 660 Spring Street building, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to noon.
