ZOOM: Lynda Mapes: Mother Orca Tahlequah: the Whale Who Changed the Conversation, Wednesday, September 30 at 7 pm
September 30 at 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
The story in the Seattle Times of mother orca Tahlequah and her swim with her calf drew six million page views around the world and sparked a new push for salmon and orca recovery here at home. Join Lynda Mapes, environmental reporter, for a conversation about covering Tahlequah and the award-winning in-depth Seattle Times series, Hostile Waters. She will read from her new book-in-progress, to be published by Braided River in spring of 2021, about the southern residents and their struggle to survive.
These are all ZOOM events that require an invitation; in order to attend, you must request an invitation from Boyd Pratt at firstname.lastname@example.org at least 30 minutes before the program.
