You can’t get away from them, and you shouldn’t try. Join local artist Cinda Sue Dow for two, intensive, fun, days of experimental drawing, exploring the pure design of a realistic painting through the lens of abstract art. Learn to see the “abstraction” in a realistic painting, and the “realism” in an abstract. Register early as space is limited. To register call 378-2798. Materials needed: drawing pencils, at least 3 colored pencils, erasers, and a 11x14 sketch pad. Cinda Sue Dow is a local San Juan Island artist and began her art studies at Butera School of Art , Boston, MA in the late sixties. She jumped into the art scene in Seattle, WA taking workshops at The Realist School of Art, life drawing all around Seattle, and studying with renowned artist Doris Jean Colvin, Redmond School of Art. She is a member of The Northwest Pastel Society, as well as past member of Predominately Pastel, and both The American Portrait Society, and The Portrait Society of America. Her studio is in Friday Harbor. |
