"THE ADVENTURES OF BRER RABBIT"

The FRIENDS OF THE SAN JUAN ISLAND LIBRARY will sponsor a puppet show for elementary age children on March 26, 1998 from 2 to 3:30 pm at the San Juan Island Library.

 Celebrate African American Heritage with puppetry. Laugh it up and learn about the origins and culture of these wonderful stories. The program will include: "The Tar Baby, Brer Tiger and the big wind, Brer rabbit goes hunting and Brer bear gets the honey." Children are invited to stay after the show to create their own puppet to take home. The program will be held in the San Juan Island Library conference room. March twenty-sixth is an early dismissal/teacher inservice day at Friday Harbor Elementary. Please join us for a fun program! Call Carrie for more information @ 378-2798.
