The San Juan Island Library District announces a new on-line database offering an extensive listing of membership associations in all fields of interest.

This database, obtained through a statewide library consortium, covers the entire nation and includes information on approximately 23,000 non-profit membership associations. All San Juan Island Library patrons now have access to this database from within the library. This Directory of Assocations database, because of its dynamic delivery of data to the library over the Internet, offers patrons the very latest information available on associations in the U.S. "For this kind of constantly changing information, an on-line database really offers the library the best opportunity for ensuring the accuracy and usefulness of data delivered to patrons," says Wade Guidry, the library's Computer Guy.
