San Juan Island
Library now offers
Netscape Communicator CD in its circulating collection
The San Juan Island
Library District has arranged for a Browser Distribution
Agreement with NetScape, Inc. permitting the library to
circulate the NetScape Communicator CD-ROM to library patrons at
no cost to the library or its users.
Patrons
running Windows 95 or a Macintosh PowerPC at home may now check
out a current version of the NetScape Communicator CD-ROM from
the library for permanent installation on their home PC, saving
them from the lengthy download required to obtain the software
from NetScape's web site.
The NetScape
Communicator version available at the library provides Java
support, which is required for patrons wishing to use the
library's web-based catalog from home. The library's web
catalog is available at http://www.sanjuan.lib.wa.us.
For more information, contact Wade Guidry, wguidry@sanjuan.lib.wa.us.
