Library Friends Accept $4,000
software donation from former san juan island resident
The friends of the san juan
island library today accepted a generous software donation from
Kristina Marx, a former San Juan islander and employee of Cogent
Data Technologies, now a resident of Clearview, Washington and
employee of Microsoft.
The donation, with a total
retail value of $4,000, includes operating system and
productivity software that will enhance the functionality of the
library's patron workstations over the coming year. As an
added bonus, the gift comes with a matching cash donation of
$400 from Microsoft.
Says Liz Illg, President of the
Friends, "Kristina was a frequent library user while a
resident here, and it feels wonderful for us to be so kindly
remembered."
